Netrent started life in property management where a portfolio of properties spanning commercial, retail, and industrial were accumulated and actively managed for various owners.

In three years the number of properties managed has grown from 11 to 51, tenants from 42 to 164.

Netrent Managing Director Mike Harrison saw the importance of increasing their sphere of influence from predominantly inner-city Southside representation to take in inner city Northside and the Trade Coast regions.

Subsequently the company moved to its own corporate suite at Breakfast Creek in August 2005 and additionally offered sales, leasing, and property management services to both property investors and property owner occupiers.
